The Secret Key is like a variation of the Special Key that is used for entering the Special Stage, but with some differences like it will not enters the player to a Special Stage and instead it will be the object that the player uses to open the Secret Door that presents in every stage in Shadow the Hedgehog and every stage in the game has five keys that are scattered throughout the stage and the player needs them to open the Secret Door.
