The Scarlet Slash Trail is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a trail used to modify the playable character's appearance and boost their rewards.

Description

When equipped, the Scarlet Slash Trail takes the appearance of a textured scarlet streak with sparkles that the playable character leaves behind them while they move around or surround them like an aura when they stand still. This trail stretches out from behind the playable character until it eventually fades away. In the inventory, it is incorrectly shown as white rather than red.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Scarlet Slash Trail is a collectible trail of the "Legendary" rarity. It could be unlocked during the "Mechanic Tails' Ultra Prize Zone" Event at the Spin Wheel in Green Hill Obby 1 after the player has obtained the eighth tool drop reward from that Spin Wheel's drop list. When using this Spin Wheel, the player has a 1% chance of getting a Scarlet Slash Trail.

In gameplay, the Scarlet Slash Trail lets the playable character produce this trail's textured streak behind them as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Scarlet Slash Trail will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up a Scarlet Slash Trail for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Scarlet Slash Trail will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can evolve a Scarlet Slash Trail by collecting five Scarlet Slash Trails, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Evolving a Scarlet Slash Trail will combine the Scarlet Slash Trails into a single evolved trail at level 1, with boosted base stats compared to the un-evolved version.
