The Sapphire Sea Refinery[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic X comic series published by Archie Comics. It is a refinery located near the Sapphire Sea.

When a fire broke out at the Sapphire Sea Refinery, Sam Speed arrived there first in his Speed 5000, which he transformed into a plane and used to extinguish the fire. It was then that Dr. Eggman transformed the Speed 5000 into a robot to battle Sonic the Hedgehog when he arrived at the refinery. Although Knuckles the Echidna came to Sonic's aid, they were still unable to defeat the Speed 5000. Thanks to Sonic and Sam's allies though, a signal was emitted from Sam's wrist communicator which disabled the Speed 5000 long enough for Sonic and Knuckles to defeat it. After the battle, Amy Rose and Miles "Tails" Prower arrived at the refinery to check on Sonic.[1]
