Daytime Dust Hill Zone
Dust Hill Zone was a cancelled level for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Mega Drive. It is unique for the following reasons:
- The zone switches between day and night.
- The Zone is set up like a labyrinth causing backtracking if the wrong path is chosen.
- Used music that was later used for Mystic Cave Zone.
- It can't be accessed through Level Select. It sends you to Mystic Cave Zone instead.
- The Zone was meant to have a Palette swap, which was also cancelled.

- The desert setting area would end up being used on Sandopolis from Sonic & Knuckles.
- Winter Zone would have been the Palette swap for this stage.
