Samia

Template:Character Samia (ゼーナ, Zēna^?) is a human resident of Shamar who appears in Sonic Unleashed. She is the younger sister of Yasmine. While Samia loves her sister very much, she is often the target of Yasmine's many bad ideas regarding her peace enforcement team, which Yasmine has made Samia a part of, something which Samia dislikes.

While being part of Yasmine's team, Samia has been put through many hardships, incredibly tough trials and embarrassing moments, but has amazingly managed to endure it all. Samia often tries to tell Yasmine that she is out of control, but she never listens to her, and instead berates Samia for complaining.

A resilient girl: so young and yet through so much grief by her completely unreasonable older sister, Yasmine. Samia consoles herself with the knowledge that she will grow up to be a patient person.

History

While living in Shamar, Samia was put through much grief due to her big sister Yasmine, who was completely out of control. One day, however, Yasmine decided to start her own peace preservation team to protect Shamar from the forces of evil, and Samia was dragged into becoming a part of it by Yasmine. Samia, however, did not want to be a part of it as she found Yasmine's idea to be really embarrassing.

While on the team, Samia was put through many hard, though sometimes pointless and often embarrassing, tasks and training sessions together with Yasmine to uphold peace in Shamar and improve the team. Through it all, Samia tried to tell Yasmine that she was out of control, but only ended up being berated Yasmine, who believed that Samia was just complaining.

During the events of Sonic Unleashed, a week after Yasmine had change the team name to "Pretty Committee to Preserve Peace in Shamar", Smaia encountered Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip while together with Yasmine. As Yasmine rudely introduced themselves to Sonic and Chip, Samia only stood by in silence, watching the way her sister acted, but was eventually forced to speak up when Yasmine told her to say their team name. Samia was reluctant to say it, however, and only managed to mumble a few broken words, before Yasmine dismissed her. After their conversation with Sonic and Chip, Samia breath out a sight in relief at making it through this experience.

Some time after having met Sonic and Chip, Samia were set to go through some physical training with Yasmine, which involved smashing large wooden boxes. Samia, however, spoke up against Yasmine, as there was no way she could smash those boxes, which only resulted in Yasmine yelling at her. While Samia was yelled at, however, Yasmine noticed that Sonic and Chip were nearby and began yelling at them as well, but Samia quickly told her sister that she should not be rude to strangers. As Yasmine retorted at Samia and told her that they had to go after them, Samia asked Yasmine of why she was making her do stuff like that, but Yasmine rebuked Samia's response. In the face of her sister's response, Samia told Yasmine that she was mean and asked Yasmine of why she had to break all those boxes she had placed out which she clearly could not do. Annoyed at Samia's refusal to cooperate, Yasmine enlisted Sonic to take over Samia's exercises when she thought the hedgehog was eavesdropping. Samia, however, tried to stop Yasmine, telling her that she could not go around doing that. Regardless, Sonic went through Yasmine's exercise in a flash, something which highly impressed Samia. After Sonic completed the exercise, Samia told Sonic in amazement that she was impressed and remarked that not even Yasmine could break all those boxes so fast, though she was told by Yasmine not to say that. After Yasmine had finished talking to Sonic, Samia approached Sonic and Chip alone, and told the duo about how embarrassing Yasmine's peace committee was to her and that Yasmine was out of control.

Some time afterwards, Samia noticed that Yasmine had the look in her eyes that meant she had gotten a bad idea, and chose to say away from her. Not long after, Samia came across Sonic and Chip once again, and warned them not to get anywhere near Yasmine because of the bad idea she was currently having. When Samia soon after found Sonic and Chip coming up to her once more, Samia asked the duo if Yasmine had been bothering them again.

A while afterwards, Samia was told by Yasmine that she had found a secret hideout for their peace committee, but Yasmine left Samia without telling her where it was. After Yasmine had been gone for a while, Samia started to become worried about Yasmine and began looking for her, but without results. Not long after, Samia met up with Sonic and Chip again, and she immediately asked them if they had seen Yasmine lately. Upon their response, Samia explained to Sonic and Chip about what had happen and expressed her worry to them. Seeing that Sonic could help her with her search though, Samia asked Sonic, though somewhat regretfully because she thought she was bothering him, if he could find Yasmine. Fortunately, Sonic accepted the request, and Samia thanked him, before explaining to him that this was not the first time this had happen. Not long after, Samia found Sonic returning to her, and was surprised to hear that he had found Yasmine. After hearing where she was, Samia thanked Sonic and told him that she would head over there right away. Samia soon after found Yasmine in a room hidden in an ally, and told Yasmine that she had been looking all over for her. After Yasmine announced the place she had found as their hideout to Samia, Samia remarked it was noticeably a house that belonged to someone else. Regardless, Samia thought Yasmine looked happy for finding this place.

Some time later, Samia learned that Yasmine had gone off alone to fight Eggman's robots outside of town. Knowing that these robots were lethal, Samia became utterly terrified at the thought that Yasmine could get killed, and broke down crying. While crying and sobbing, however, Samia found Sonic and Chip standing just nearby, and Samia asked Sonic desperately to save Yasmine as she explained what had happen. Fortunately, Sonic accepted Samia's request, and Samia gave Sonic a deeply heartfelt thanks. Soon after, Sonic returned with Yasmine, and Samia was overjoyed to have Yasmine back. As Yasmine tried to act tough and tell Samia that she did not need her help, Samia only began crying again in front of her sister, this time however, over the happiness of having Yasmine back and the shock of having been so close to losing her, eventually causing Yasmine to cry as well. After having stopped crying, Samia thanked Sonic for all his help and told him that she hoped that Yasmine had learned her lesson this time.

A while after having gotten Yasmine back, Samia learned that Eggman's robots were outside Shamar and told it to Yasmine. This proved to be a bad move on Samia's part, however, as it gave Yasmine the idea of fighting these robots, leaving Samia worrying about Yasmine's well-being. Fortunately, Samia ran into Sonic and Chip shortly afterwards, and, upon explaining the situation to the duo, asked Sonic to protect Yasmine for her.

A while after Sonic had helped Yasmine with her latest escapade, Samia noticed, much to her own amazement, that Yasmine had become much quieter, especially when Samia mentioned Sonic. Around this time, Samia had yet another encounter with Sonic and Chip, and, upon meeting the duo, explained Yasmine's change to them while wondering why it had happen, not aware that it was because Yasmine had developed a crush on Sonic.

After Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus's confrontation with Perfect Dark Gaia, Samai rejoiced with the rest of the town, jumping up and down in joy and talking to Dimah, when the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat.

PS2/Wii

At some point in her life, Samia joined her sister's peace committee "Pretty Committee to Preserve Peace in Shamar". During the events of Sonic Unleashed, Samia, while she was with Yasmine, came across Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip when the duo was passing through the town. As Yasmine introduced their peace committee to Sonic and Chip, Samia chose to remain silent, but was eventually forced to speak up when Yasmine told her to say their team name. Samia was reluctant to say it, however, and only managed to mumble a broken phase of the team name. This made Yasmine rebuke Samia for not saying it correctly, before telling her that they had to practice it more, much to Samia's annoyance.

Some time later, Samia and Yasmine came across Sonic and Chip once more. After Yasmine told Sonic and Chip that they should have a good-luck charm, Samia did not immediately see that Yasmine was referring to the charm she possessed. Samia soon caught onto to Yasmine's hint, however, and gave Sonic and Chip Secret Soundtrack 42.

A while afterwards, Samia and Yasmine came across Sonic and Chip yet again. As Yasmine told Sonic and Chip that it was hard work preserving peace, Samia told Yasmine longingly that she wanted to go home, but Yasmine rebuffed her response.

After Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus's confrontation with Perfect Dark Gaia, Samai rejoiced with the rest of the town, jumping up and down in joy and talking to Dimah, when the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat.

The Hideout

• How to obtain mission: After clearing the mission "Urgent Mission", leave Shamar's hub world, come back, and talk to Samia during the daytime.
• Objective: Go to the right of Professor Pickle's Laboratory in Shamar to find Yasmine. Talk to her, then go talk to Samia, and come back to hear their conversation.

Missing Sister

• How to obtain mission: After clearing the mission "The Hideout", leave Shamar's hub world, come back, and talk to Samia during the daytime.
• Objective: Get to Yasmine within two minutes.
