After losing Sonic, Rotor and the Knothole Freedom Fighters lost the war against Dr. Robotnik, who launched his War of the World that left Mobius virtually uninhabitable. However, Rotor, along with Antoine, Bunnie and Sally managed to live through the final firestorm and managed to drag themselves back to the ruins of Robotropolis. There, they located undamaged single-person spacecrafts in Robotnik's escape tower. Using one of those spacecrafts, Rotor retreated into a separate area of space in order to survive, adapt, and populate.[1]
