Rosie is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog animated series. She is the childhood nanny of the KnotholeFreedom Fighters. In the aftermath of Dr. Robotnik's coup, Rosie escaped with the children to Knothole, but was not long after captured and roboticized. However, Sally was able to alter the past, creating a new timeline in which Rosie survived to the present day.
When Sonic, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor were children, Rosie serve as their nanny. During Dr. Robotnik coup, Rosie took the children to Knothole and kept them safe. However, one day during the early years of Robotnik's rule, she left Knothole and were captured by Robotnik's worker robots out in the Great Forest and roboticized.
Many years later, Sonic and Sally were able to use the Time Stones to go to the past, where they encountered Rosie. Although they introduced themselves as "Alicia" and "Juice", Rosie recognized them as the grown-up versions of her young charges. While Sonic and Sally were unable to prevent Robotnik's coup, Sally was able to warn Rosie never to leave Knothole to prevent her future roboticization. Despite confused, Rosie promised and never left Knothole. As a result, it created a new timeline and present that Sonic and Sally returned to where Rosie was alive and well in Knothole. When the pair returned to the altered future, with no memories of the new altered timeline, Sonic and Sally discovered that Rosie was well and had prepared dinner for them.
Rosie is a kind-hearted and caring woodchuck. According to Uncle Chuck, she is very prompt, and according to Tails, she is a good cook. Her ability to recognize "Alicia" as Sally indicates she is also quite intelligent.
Rosie is good at keeping promises, willing to stay in Knothole undisturbed for ten years in order to keep her promise to Sally.
