Rory Bear is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a young Mobian bear who was left an orphan following the uprise of Dr. Eggman. He, along with Snaggle Tiger and Sasha Cat, was then taken into the care of Rosie Woodchuck.

Rory is a humanoid bear about half Sally Acorn's height. He has round ears, a small bang of hair and three toes. However, the coloration of his fur rather inconsistent, usually either a brownish shade or orange while the fur on his muzzle, front torso and around his eyes is either wheat or white. However, his eyes remains consistently blue. He usually wears a pair of shorts (often blue).

Following Dr. Eggman uprising on Mobius, Rory lost both his friends and parents to Eggman's robot hordes. Forced to escape, Rory got to Knothole where he ended in the care of Rosie Woodchuck, along with Sasha Cat and Snaggle Tiger. There, he lived at Rosie's orphanage with Sasha and Snaggle, where they were sometimes babysat by Mina Mongoose when she came to Knothole.[1][2] One time, Rory, Snaggle and Sasha were treated to a poor play about the early adventures of the Knothole Freedom Fighters.[3] Another time, while Rory and his friends were sick, they had Roise tell them a story, but Rory did not understand the character motivations.[4]

Sometime later, Rory, Snaggle and Sasha attacked Monkey Khan with rocks for him ruining Mina's celebration concert until Sonic stopped them. The trio managed to beat Sonic with some arguments until Monkey Khan apologized to them, and they were scolded by Sonic, who warned that he would tell Rosie about their bad behavior. Later, when the Iron Queen took control of Bunnie, Sasha, Rory and Snaggle were saved by Monkey Khan and the trio pleaded tearfully for him to help Bunnie, eventually convincing him.[5] They later supported Monkey Khan in his doubt, having forgiven him for his previous actions, and Rory made peace with him before leaving with Sally.[6]

Rory is a bit of a roly-poly and full of life and energy (sometime too much).[7] Child-like in nature, Rory can be somewhat precocious, but he has a good heart. Like his friends, Rory sometimes feels responsible for the loss of his other friends because he was too little and weak to help.
