The Robot Scrap is an object that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is the remains of Destruction Troops that the player can use as currency to unlock new features.
Description[]
As its name implies, Robot Scraps are multiple small scraps of destroyed robot parts, namely from the Destruction Troops.
Overview[]
In Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, Robot Scrap is obtained by attacking/destroying Destruction Troops or from opening Robot Scrap Chests. In either case, when released, the Robot Scraps will be attracted towards the playable character where it is added to the general storage. However, if the player takes damage with no Rings in their possession or falls into a bottomless pit, they will have some of their Robot Scrap deducted upon re-spawning.
Together with Crowns, Robot Scraps serve as currency which can be used to purchase Team Upgrades at the Team Upgrade totems at Cliff's Excavation Site and on Bygone Island. Robot Scrap is also used to repair various locations in the aforementioned levels, thereby allowing access to new areas with hidden collectibles.
