The Egg Generator in
Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie.
The Egg Generator (Robot Generator in English dub) is device which was created by Doctor Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. It is located in Robotnik's living place Robotropolis, where it was eventually guarded by Metal Robotnik.
At the beginning of film, Robotnik tells to Sonic and President that generator had supposedly become unstable due to the increased electricity being generated and needed to be shutdown before sunset or it would cause a massive explosion that would affect the entire planet. Sonic accepts the request for assistance and starts his journey to the Robotropolis with Tails. When Sonic managed to shut the Robot Generator down, he became trapped in it as his bio data was scanned and eventually got put in Hyper Metal Sonic, who was inside it, revealing the generator to be part of Robotnik's plan. After that the Robot Generator collapse in pieces into an abyss.
