The RoboEgg[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced robot model that was created by Dr. Robotnik during the Death Egg II incident.
Appearance[]
RoboEggs appear as bulky robots loosely based off of Dr. Robotnik with drill arms, jet packs and rotating head with a large mustache. Their feet are flat and resemble skis.

Sonic the Fighters[]

In Sonic the Fighters, Dr. Robotnik began sending large quantities of RoboEggs to numerous places around earth, where peace had reigned supreme thanks to Sonic's frequent actions, with the robots committing destruction in each of their locations. Tails could not figure out where the RoboEggs were coming from until he received an emergency message from Espio, informing him that all the RoboEggs were being dispatched from the Death Egg II.[2]
Trivia[]
- Outside the intro demo, RoboEggs do not make further appearances in the game. Out of normal circumstances, the character is playable by hacking the game or using the cheat codes during the game's emulation, much like Honey the Cat and Mecha Sonic Model No.29. The robot does not have a grayscale version of itself and has the exact same moveset as Robotnik in his E-Mech. During gameplay, the RoboEgg rotates its head every six seconds as part of its idle animation. The only known difference from Robotnik's moveset is that the robot has a triple punch move, and its speed lines are purple instead of white.
