The RiskStar is an enemy that was set to appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Overview[]

The RiskStar consists of two discs with a circle of spikes between them; however its appearance differs slightly between its two modes. In its basic mode its eyes are both on the top side, and Sonic will have to jump on it to avoid touching its damaging spikes on the sides, while in advanced mode its eyes are located on either side and it can only be attacked from the side, such as with a Spin Dash, as its spikes run vertically from top to bottom.

Trivia[]

RiskStar's name may be a reference to Ristar, the 1995 Sega Mega Drive game by Sonic Team.
