The Ring Tunnel (リングロード, Ringurōdo^?, lit. "Ring Road") is an object that appears in the anime series Sonic X. It was a special weapon used by the Blue Typhoon crew.

Description

The Ring Tunnel is deployed as multiple glowing rings fired from the Hyper Tornado. When fired, these rings grow to a large size and align to form a tunnel through midair. Once inside it, the user will be guided in the same direction as the Ring Tunnel, allowing them to reach heights they otherwise would be unable to get to.

Metarex Saga

When facing the Metarex Deserd on Planet Hobidon, the Ring Tunnel was used by the Blue Typhoon crew in an attempt to attack the shapeless Metarex's core in the sky. With Chris deploying the Ring Tunnel, Sonic traveled through it using a special pair of rocket shoes, only to be electrocuted by Deserd when reaching its core.
