The Ring Portal is a Boost Item that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle Rings which can be used as portals between locations.
Description The Ring Portal takes the appearance of a giant golden Ring when used on the track.
Overview Teen Sonic using the Ring Portal.
In gameplay, the Ring Portal can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Teen Sonic . When used, the Ring Portal will increase the speed of the user for a short time. The Ring Portal also grants invulnerability against most obstacles and incoming attacks from opponent players, though it cannot destroy enemies or collect Item Boxes. The duration of Ring Portal in this game depends on the level of the character using it; when reaching level 2, 8 and 14 respectively, Ring Portal's duration will increase. The duration of a Ring Portal is displayed by a circular energy gauge that appears on top of Ring Portal's icon in the player's inventory (on the bottom of the screen) whenever Ring Portal is in effect and will deplete for every second the Ring Portal is active.
Trivia While the Ring Portal's design and main ability are based on the Giant Ring , it also takes after the usage of Rings in the film .
