Trivia[]
- This song notably shares a rhythm guitar sample with the song "Rock It On" from Jet Set Radio, also composed by Hideki Naganuma. According to Naganuma himself, this similarity was intentional.[1]
- A saxophone squeal and another, separate, guitar riff from this song can also be heard in "Get Edgy".
- The song has been removed in a few spin-off sequels and a remake, possibly for legal reason.
- The song appeared as a frequent selectable track in the Mario & Sonic series (the DS version of the first game, and the home console versions of the following three sequels) until Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (albeit not the only one).
- It was the only Sonic song from Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U that did not return in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The data includes Sonic Rush in the list of reference games for music, implying it was set to return.
- It is the only song from Sonic Generations that was not included in its remaster, Sonic X Shadow Generations. Instead, being replaced by Westopolis' theme from Shadow the Hedgehog. A higher quality of the Rush logo can be found in the game's files.
