Richard H. Goldwater was the editor-in-chief, president and publisher of Archie Comics.[citation needed] His father, Jon L. Goldwater, was one of the founders of Archie Comics. His job was to oversee the various titles produced by the company, including the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs.[citation needed]

Goldwater died of cancer on 2 October 2007, in Greenwich, Connecticut.[1]
