This relic of an ancient warrior race enables the Rapid Tails Attack.

— Description, Sonic Adventure manual

The Rhythm Badge (リズムブローチ Rizumuburōchi?, lit. "Rhythm Brooch") is a Level Up Item for Miles "Tails" Prower in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. It can be placed on Miles "Tails" Prower's belly.

Description[]

The Rhythm Badge is a purple badge adorned with three purple and white feathers on the lower half. When worn, it upgrades Tails' Tail Swipe to the Rapid Tails Attack, which is a chain of Tail Swipes. Finding this Level Up Item is needed for Tails to leave the Adventure Field where it is located.

Location[]

The Rhythm Badge's location is somewhat unique in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, as it is found in the Mystic Ruins in the ancient past, during the time of the Knuckles Clan.

After Tails catches Froggy in Sand Hill, he is transported by Tikal to the Mystic Ruins 4,000 years prior, the place where the Rhythm Badge is located and is needed to return to the present. To find the Rhythm Badge, the player must head up the stairs to the left, and the Rhythm Badge can be found between the wall and the tall pillar.

Trivia[]

  • The Rhythm Badge is the only Level Up Item in the Sonic series that is obtained in an area that cannot be visited again.
  • Like the Warrior Feather, collecting the Rhythm Badge is needed to beat the game, but use of the ability it gives is not required.
