The Rhino Spike[1] is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a robot deployed by the Guardian Units of Nations, and is a member of the Rhino series.

Appearance

The Rhino Spike resembles a Rhino Jet, but it features large, white spikes on top of it.

Overview

In Sonic Adventure 2, the Rhino Spike usually patrols an area, but will rev up and ram toward the player should they approach. It can only be destroyed by a Somersault or Light Speed Attack from Sonic and Shadow, but a simple Punch or Kick will do for Knuckles or Rouge, respectively. Upon its destruction, it awards the player 100 points.
