The Red Wisp is a creature that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a breed of Wisp.
Description[]
Anatomy[]
The Red Wisps have heads that each looks like a flaming teardrop with two small spikes at the top. They also have three blue eyes that form a triangular pattern on their heads. They also have three flame-like tentacles that stem from their bottom.
Characteristics and culture[]
Being Wisps, the Red Wisps are halcyon and social. Overall, they are peaceful, playful, non-hostile and friendly of nature, and enjoy spending most of their time playing with others.[1]
Powers and abilities[]
The Red Wisps are able to levitate in midair at will, which serves as their main method of transportation. They also possesses a powerful life force that can be harnessed by other beings to grant them special abilities.[1]
History[]
Sonic Colors[]
Inside Dr. Eggman's interstellar amusement park, Red Wisps and other Wispa would be chased by Orbot, Cubot and a pack of Egg Pawns until a Red Wisp was saved by Sonic. After Sonic destroyed the Egg Pawns in a flash and send Orbot and Cubot running. A Red Wisp then joined Sonic, Tails, Yacker and some other Wisps, as Sonic ventured out to save the Wisp race from Eggman.[1]
