The Red Seed of Power[2] (チカラの実[3],Chikara no Mi?, lit. "Fruit of Power") is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a type of Seed and collectible item, that can increase the user's attack strength after trading it to Hermit Koco.
Red Seed of Power is a red, round fruit with short stalk on the top and its red skin is covered by sharp thorns. Surrounded by a yellow aura, its movement in the mid-air leaves trail of yellow square symbols and small red lightning spots.

In Sonic Frontiers, Red Seeds of Power are collectible items present in Open Zone areas. Different enemies can be spotted randomly dropping red Seeds each time after being defeated and solving different Challenges will also summon Seeds to be obtained.[4] It is also possible to find Red Seeds of Power inside Steel Containers or popping up under the Open Zone terrain, when Sonic performs the Cyloop in unexpected spots.[5] After collecting Red Seeds of Power, the player has to then track down Hermit Koco, to power up one level of the attack stat and increase the strength of Sonic's moves and Skills. 246 total seeds are needed to power up to max level, one per level up to level 25, two per level for levels 26-50, three per level for levels 51-75, and four per level for levels 76-99.
After receiving Treasure Tokens or Gold Cards from the Fishing Spot minigame hosted by Big the Cat, the player can also purchase Red Seeds of Power by trading tokens or Gold Cards. Each Seed costs two Treasure Tokens when chosen in the "Trade Tokens" store. It is also possible to catch a treasure box containing a single Red Seed of Power, that does not grant any Treasure Tokens but can be obtained to the player's current Seed counter.[6] If the player pre-ordered the Standard Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition of the game with Adventurer’s Treasure Box bonus, Sonic would automatically have ten Red Seeds of Power at the start of the game.[7]
