Ranger Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Ranger Chao have cyan pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large blue eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. However, they have yellow tips on their arms, feet, and head points. They also have a floating yellow dot above their heads, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs. For attire, they wear a red neckerchief each.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Ranger Chao is a collectible pet of the "Epic" rarity. It could be unlocked by collecting 1,000,000 Rings during the "Treasure Hunt Event". Alternatively, the player could buy them for 199 Robux during the same event.

In gameplay, Ranger Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Ranger Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Ranger Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Ranger Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Ranger Chao by collecting five Ranger Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Ranger Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Ranger Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
