Radical Highway is the twelfth world in Sonic Speed Simulator. This world is based on the location of the same name from Sonic Adventure 2. It can be unlocked after the playable character buys the world for 40,000,000 Rings. The twelfth questline is located here, which is used to unlock E-123 Omega as a playable character. The Zone currently features an event which can be completed to unlock the Dark Rider as a equippable mount.

Description

Radical Highway is based on Radical Highway from Sonic Adventure 2. As such, this world takes place in an area that resembles San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge in the dead of night, which further enhances the "Central City" atmosphere.

When it first made its appearance, to promote the release of Sonic X Shadow Generations, it had a red atmosphere and skybox with pink clouds that reflected the Doom Zone version of Radical Highway. As of Update 2.97, the current atmosphere and skybox are black with blue clouds, similar to its original iteration, whereas the previous one appears in an alternative version of this World that is accessible.

Gameplay

The Radical Highway is filled with Grind Rails, Rings, and Chaos Orbs. Many pathways and Sky Rings can be found, but however the rings are only visible on Grind Rails.

This questline must be completed to unlock E-123 Omega.

• Objective: Use 50 Springs in Radical Highway.
  • Rewards: 30m Boost
• Objective: 180 Sec of Total Air Time in Radical Highway.
  • Rewards: 840,000 Rings
• Objective: Boost 200 Times on a Motorbike.
  • Rewards: 500 Red Star Rings
• Objective: Destroy 200 G.U.N Robots.
  • Rewards: 880,000 Rings
• Objective: Collect 5,000 Chaos Orbs in Radical Highway.
  • Rewards: 900,000 Rings, E-123 Omega

• Dark Rider Event: Collect the parts for Shadow's signature motorcycle for the Year of Shadow

Trivia

• There is a secret teleporter in the world that takes the player to City Escape. Entering through the tunnel in City Escape reveals a location in Radical Highway with a Red Star Ring.
  • For the first week of Radical Highway's addition, this teleporter was broken and instead flooded the world by accident.
