The Race World is a Hub Zone that appears in Sonic Speed Simulator. It is a Hub world stationed inside of a giant version of the rocket found by Dodon Pa in green hill. It was added in February 2024 as part of the race update. It later received a major design update in June 2025.
The Race world can be accessed either via turning on an option in the settings to spawn in there after a race has concluded, or by walking to the small rocket in Green Hill and holding [Q] to "sneak in" when prompted. It can also be accessed by warping to it in the world select menu.
The Race World Hub world is located inside a giant rocket, as such it is a medium sized round room with red walls and a blue floor. Inside the room the players movement speed is capped and using mounts is disabled. The player spawns by a portal leading to green hill and a series of lights in the centre of the room lead to stairs elevating a series of podiums. To the left is the same podiums found in Green Hill of Racesuit Jet and Dodon Pa who will give race-related quests to new players or adventure quests every four hours to recurring players (Dodon Pa only). Next to these podiums is a large podium stage with a yellow canopy which is where the player can sign up for Drag Races - a series of races that are usually defined by being a straight line race of some description. In the middle of the world is the race shop where players can spend Race Tickets to purchase race shop items that reroll to new items monthly. To the right of the shop is a second podium stage with a blue canopy, this time for Action Races - races that are usually longer and more complex in design and yield more race tickets for participation. Next to this is the podium where the player can purchase a discounted 'x2 ticket race pass' with Robux. There is a space next to this that is designed to be for event related race characters, such as Batten Rouge who required race tickets to unlock. After the 'Sonic Prime' event ended, another podium was added to the Race World that contained Metal Sonic which was added as an easier way for players to see the quest requirements to unlock Metal Sonic.

Currently, the race world takes ont he apperance of a space deck, similar to Space Colony ARK. The deck is broken into two smaller rooms. The main room contains the same two podiums for drag races and action races that featured in the previous design. This room has an open roof and a rocket placed behind a warp portal, as if this is where the rocket takes off to other worlds. The back room is where Dodon Pa is seen as the shop tender for the Race Shop. Quick access to both the "Jet verses" Metal City race and "Shadow verses" Radical Highway drag race required for missions are also found here. At the back of the room is a large window that gives view of the Earth. Donpa Motors branded Containers can found around the space station.
By using the free camera, it is actually possible to see that the old race world was a fully modelled rocket and not just the room the player spawns in.
The icon for the Action races is the same icon used to represent multiplayer running races in Sonic Adventure 2.
The Race World was created as a means to reduce the load times between Green Hill and Races. It also adds the ability for multiple races to happen on a server simultaneously.
In the race world, Big can be spotted floating aimlessly in space.
