The Quad Drone is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series and its spin-offs produced by Paramount Pictures. It is a dune buggy-based Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and the second Matryoshka Drone.[1]

The Quad Drone is a bulky, four-wheel Badnik with a black and white hull and a glowing red eye. The front wheels of the drone are each equipped with a large black claw, and the roof opens up to reveal the EMP launcher.

The Quad Drone was created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik under funding from the United States government. Upon its creation, it was stored within the Badnik Tank.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
The Quad Drone was deployed from the undercarriage of the Badnik Tank and pursued Sonic and Tom on the road to San Francisco. The Quad Drone attempted to fire EMP mines at Tom's pickup truck but missed, instead hitting a passing minivan. Sonic managed to grab an EMP mine and use it against the Drone, causing it to spin out and crash before deploying the Monopod Drone from the wreckage.

Powers and abilities[]
In addition to being fast enough to keep up with a pickup truck, the Quad Drone comes equipped with EMP mines that it can fire from the front. Once deployed, its mines will sweep along the ground until they get under a vehicle, at which point they will attach themselves to them and disable their systems with a surge of electromagnetic energy. It can be deployed by the Badnik Tank and deploys the lesser, unicycle-based Monopod Drone upon destruction.
