The Purple Coin [1] (紫コイン[2] , Murasaki Koin ? is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog seriesStarfall Islands and used at Fishing Spots to buy opportunities to cast Big the Cat 's spare fishing rod.
Description [ ] As the name suggests, Purple Coins are circular tokens purple in coloration, with a teardrop-shaped fishing hook emblazoned on either face faces. They leave behind cyan flashes of Cyber Space energy when collected.
Overview [ ] In Sonic Frontiers Memory Tokens . Their placement in Open Zone varies as they're found in dedicated spots to be obtained. Huge amount of Purple Coins can be obtained from the slot machine during the Starfall mode.
When the player has enough of Purple Coins, the player has to find Purple Portals placed in different spots of the Open Zone area. These Portals will lead to the Fishing Spots containing minigame hosted by Big the Cat . Depending on each Purple Portal, the player must to have certain amount of Purple Coins to be traded for Big, who each time will lets Sonic borrow his fishing rod for the minigame.[1] [3] Western Fishing Spot requires single Purple Coin, Northern Fishing Spot demands two Purple Coins, four Purple Coins are needed to fish in Eastern Fishing Spot and eight Purple Coins has to be spend to fish in Southern Fishing Spot .
