Psi-Slow (サイコ・スロー,Saiko Surō?, lit. "Psycho Slow")[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a POW move used by OvermindLeucosia, in which Leucosia attacks with psychokinetic abilities.
When performing Psi-Slow, Leucosia flies up to its opponent and releases green psychokinetic energy rings while doing a somersault. Afterwards, it retreats to its spot.
According to the official guidebook for Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Psi-Slow is intended to deal attack damage to a single target, while also guaranteed to inflict Sluggish on the target.[1] However, in gameplay, Psi-Slow is apparently glitched, and although usable by Leucosia, it will not have any effects on the player whatsoever.
Real-Time Interaction[]
When Psi-Slow is performed in gameplay, the player is prompted to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to evade Psi-Slow optimally. However, due to Psi-Slow being glitched, the attack will always have no effect, even if the player fails every single Real-Time Interaction. The intended sequence for the player to dodge the attack is as follows:
The player has to touch the inside of three circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles.
The player has to touch the inside of five circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles.
The player has to tap an inner circle that appears eight times, before the outer circle overlaps the inner circle.
