The Proton Gun is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is the signature weapon of Julie-Su.

Description[]

Appearance[]

The Proton Gun is a gray double barreled firearm.

Features and traits[]

The Proton Gun is a multi-functional weapon. It’s primary use is shooting powerful double laser blasts that are shown to be extremely powerful. It also has a grappling hook that Julie-Su can use for climbing, and has a gas-gun function that can knock out opponents.

History[]

The Proton Gun was first used by Julie-Su when she used it’s grappling hook function to climb a mountainside on Angel Island.[1] Moving forward, the Proton Gun would become Julie-Su’s main method of combat, which she would use in most of her fights and missions, such as when she helped defend Fort Acorn from a horde of War-Bots[2], when she fought against Dr. Finitevus with Knuckles and Mighty outside his Pyramid Lab[3], or when she infiltrated a Dark Legion base.[4]

Eventually, however, when Thrash went on his Echidna hunt, banishing all the Echidnas to another Zone with his super-charged Warp Ring, her Proton Gun was left behind on Shrine Isle when Julie-Su and Saffron were kidnapped, with the Proton Gun eventually being found by Ray after the team asked Knuckles where Julie-Su and Saffron were.[5]
