The Professor, referred to as "Per'fessor" by Captain Plunder, is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is an anthropomorphic purple walrus (vaguely resembling an elderly Joe Sushi).
History[]
He is an academic from Metropolis University, who somehow fell in with Captain Plunder and his Sky Pirates. He joined Plunder on an expedition to the Sandopolis Zone on the Floating Island, to find the Lost Pyramid of Sandopolis. It was the Professor who activated the secret controls (using Plunder's old parchment) to lift the Lost Pyramid up from beneath the sand.[1] The Professor accompanied Plunder and Filch into the pyramid, and attempted to steal a sack full of the lost treasure. However, like the others, the Professor was scared of the pyramid's Hyudoro and dropped his sack while escaping. He presumably rejoined Plunder's crew.[2]
