Pringle from Sonic the Comic #140. Art by Richard Elson and Nigel Kitching.

Pringle is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He was a researcher who had spent years researching Doctor Robotnik's activities.

Pringle's studies led him to one of Robotnik's secret bases, which was in an underground tunnel just east of the Emerald Hill Zone. He enlisted Sonic the Hedgehog's help to unlock the door, as Sonic had obtained copies of Robotnik's access codes after the dictator was overthrown. Inside, they found a prototype Trooper Badnik. Pringle then knocked Sonic out and activated the Trooper with an activation program. Pringle successfully ordered the soldier to attack Sonic (this being what it was created to do), but the Trooper struck out at Pringle once he commanded they leave. Low on energy, the Badnik attempted to use Pringle as an organic battery, but Sonic pulled him out of reach and away from the collapsing base. Pringle expressed his surprise that Sonic would save him after the researcher had ordered an attack on the hedgehog.[1]
