Template:Character Princess Elise is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and its spin-off comic series published by Archie Comics. She is the monarch of Soleanna. As the leader of this city-state, Elise is allied with the United Federation, where she represents Soleanna and serve as council to the President of the United Federation.
History
Childhood
Born into the royal family, Elise was meant to become the next ruler of the Soleanna settlement. One day, however, Elise's father, the Duke of Soleanna, and his researchers accidentally split their sun god Solaris into Mephiles and Iblis in an attempt to harness the god's powers over time. While Mephiles was sealed inside the Scepter of Darkness, Elise was forced to have Iblis sealed inside herself as the Duke of Soleanna was left with no other option. Using a Chaos Emerald, the Duke sealed Iblis inside Elise, dying in the process. Elise would then have to remain as Iblis' container until the day she would give into despair, as that would release Iblis from within her, trapping her in a life of feigned optimism.
