The Prehistoric Freedom Fighters is a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are counterparts/ancestors of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, living in prehistoric times.
History[]
Due to the world being inhabited by fierce Mobosaurs and the antagonistic caveman Ivo Robughnik, the Freedom Fighters relied on burrowing underground to avoid harm. They created a network of underground tunnels and planed on going even deeper. This changed when Sonic the Hedgehog, who was sent to the past because of Dr. Robotnik, convinced them to use their brains and adapt to their surroundings instead of hiding. He showed them how to plant hedges and use them as a hiding place. Seeing the benefits of living on the surface, Sonugh the Boghog declared they would never return to the underground. Sonic returned to his time before the Freedom Fighters could thank him.[1]
