The Power Siphon is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.
Description[]
Appearance[]
The Power Siphon is a very large metallic, silver machine that stands on four yellow legs. It has 2 yellow windows on either side of the machine.
Features and traits[]
The Power Siphon’s purpose was to take the nuclear fallout from Robotropolis and transfer it into clean energy to be used in New Mobotropolis.
History[]
During the Iron Dominion’s takeover of New Mobotropolis, the Iron King, Jun Kun, set out to destroy the Power Siphon to cut power away from New Mobotropolis and to bring down the Dome Force Field around Robotropolis to let out the nuclear fallout which was contained within. While Sonic and Monkey Khan attempted to stop Jun Kun, he was too strong for the two to fend him off. As such, Sonic came up with a plan, telling Nicole to create a new, main Power Siphon underground via her Nanite manipulation. Sonic then pretended to surrender to Jun Kun, saying he and Monkey Khan were too weak to beat him. Sonic proposed to Jun Kun that they should compromise. Jun Kun would leave the Dome Force Field alone, and Sonic would allow him to destroy the Power Siphon. Jun Kun agreed to this deal, unaware that the Power Siphon on the surface he was destroying was now just a meaningless empty shell.[1]
