The Power Pylon is an enemy that appears in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. It is a type of machinery used by Imperator Ix during his initial battles with Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna and their teams on Nocturne.

Description[]

The Power Pylons appear as a pair of enemies accompanying Imperator Ix Power Throne during the fourth-to-last and third-to-last boss battles in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

Unlike most other enemies in the game, the Power Pylons have no form of offense, possessing no basic attack or POW moves, and do nothing by themselves. Instead, they possess a passive ability that allows Imperator Ix Power Throne to regenerate 160 Health Points at the end of each round of combat in gameplay.

To nullify the Power Pylons' regenerative ability, the player has to defeat all the Power Pylons present. For as long as at least one Power Pylon remains undefeated, Ix will continue to regenerate Health Points at the end of each round. A while after both Power Pylons have been defeated, however, new ones will appear to take their place. Once Imperator Ix Power Throne is defeated, the Power Pylons will automatically be defeated as well.
