The Power Laser is one of Miles "Tails" Prower and Dr. Eggman's special attacks in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. When performing this move, the user shoots a powerful laser.
Description
When performing Power Laser, the user does a pose and shouts a specific quote: Tails says "Fire Power Laser!" while Eggman says "You're no match for me!". They then have their mech emit a large multi-colored beam of energy from the front at their opponents (the Eggwalker protrudes a lance-like attachment for firing the beam). In gameplay, this attack inflicts a great amount of damage to the opponent, but also leaves the users rooted while firing it, leaving them vulnerable to attack should the player miss.
Power Laser is first performed by Tails and Eggman during the boss battles against them in their respective stories. Here, the users will begin performing Power Laser after their health has been reduced to half. To the quick player, this attack can easily be dodged.
Power Laser can only be performed by the player by playing as Tails or Eggman in the games' two-player mode. To use it, the player must press

after collecting sixty Rings. To use it again, the player has to collect another sixty Rings. If Dr. Eggman wears his alternate suit, he can execute it with just twenty Rings.
