Pollu[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian echidna, the husband of Meri-Ca, and the father of Desi-Ca.

Appearance[]

Pollu is a mobian echidna of average height, with red hair and fur, black eyes, a red mustache, and a tan muzzle. For attire, he wears a long gray and brown robe, and a pair of white gloves with cuffs.[1]

History[]

Past[]

During the Angel Island Takeover, Pollu and Meri-Ca's daughter Desi-Ca was injured, causing her to lose sight in both of her eyes. Some time later, the Dark Legion would offer to restore the child's eyesight with cybernetic implants, an offer which Pollu and Meri-Ca declined, believing the legendary Avatar would heal her, as the prophecy of the Ancient Walkers stated he had magical power.[1]

Return to Angel Island[]

Hearing of the arrival of Knuckles, and believing him to be the Avatar, Pollu and Meri-Ca brought their injured daughter Desi-Ca to him, in the hopes that he could heal her of her blindness with his "miraculous powers". However, Dr. Finitevus was incredibly hostile towards this, believing the prophecy to be fake. Knuckles himself reluctantly sent Pollu, Meri-Ca, and Desi-Ca away, as he himself was skeptical of the prophecy, and believed he lacked the power to heal anyone.[1]

Personality[]

Pollu is deeply spiritual, having complete faith in the prophecy of the Ancient Walkers. He also cares greatly for his daughter, Desi-Ca, regularly carrying her around in his arms.[1]
