The Pink Cabriolet[2] (ピンクカブリオレ[3] Pinku Kaburiore?) is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is Amy Rose's personal racing vehicle for racing competitions.
Description[]
In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, the Pink Cabriolet looks like a pink Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle, with prominent headlights and ear-like mirrors, the former more adherent to the infamous Citroën 2CV. The front of the Pink Cabriolet is adorned with a decal of two hearts with her name written across them, and the back with a spare tire also decorated with two hearts. The license plate at the front reads AMY-ROSE.
In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the Pink Cabriolet has three distinct appearances that depend on its mode:
- Car mode: The Pink Cabriolet's car form takes on a more sleek, modern design compared to its previous incarnation. Its windshield is higher and wider, its color scheme is more uniform, and a single pale racing stripe runs up the front of the car. Its headlamps are now decorated with eyelashes and the license plate now reads AMY-01. It also contains speakers on both sides of Amy's seat. The steering wheel has been redesigned from a generic black one to a bulkier yellow-brown one.
- Plane mode: In its plane form, the Pink Cabriolet's wheels flip out horizontally to keep it hovering. A pair of eyelids also appear over the top half of the headlamps in this form.
- Boat mode: In its boat form, the front and sides of the vehicle inflate to create a shape similar to that of a hovercraft, complete with two propeller fans at the back. In this form, the headlamps have been covered completely by eyelids.
In Team Sonic Racing, the Pink Cabriolet has been remodeled and redesigned, losing the Volkswagen Beetle-like appearance and now more closely resembling a convertible Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. It now has pink and white colors, no registration number, and the windshield is slightly shortened. The front lights are also now more stylized eye shapes and do not have "eyelashes". The vehicle has also become even smoother, and the steering wheel is redesigned once more into instead a red-colored H-shaped yoke steering wheel.
Like other cars in Team Sonic Racing, its appearance can be customized with different paint jobs, Performance Parts and decals. Its horn can also be changed.

In Team Sonic Racing, the Pink Cabriolet appears as Amy's race car, specially created by Dodon Pa for Amy. During the events of the game, the Pink Cabriolet was one of the cars Dodon Pa gave Amy and her friends so they could compete in his Grand Prix competition. Amy would afterward use it during the races and challenges she participated in. However, the Pink Cabriolet was eventually destroyed when the heroes had to leave it aboard the crashing Final Fortress. Fortunately, Dodon Pa promised to replace it with a new one.
In this game, the Pink Cabriolet's basic statistics both follow and subvert its prior variations' stat spreads with instead moderate acceleration, top speed, handling and boost; only the defense stat is rather low somewhat. However, its statistics, as well as its artistic design, can be modified by replacing its parts.

In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the Pink Cabriolet is used by Amy Rose as her primary racing vehicle. In gameplay, it can transform into a boat, car or plane when passing through a Transformation Gate, with the mode of the vehicle depending on the terrain beyond the Transformation Gate. In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, the Pink Cabriolet was piloted by Amy during her and Knuckles's trip to Westside Island. In this media, the vehicle more closely resembles its appearance in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

The Pink Cabriolet was used by Amy to travel down to White Park with Rouge, Cream, Cheese, and Gemerl. Along the way though, she had to swerve off the road when she saw Shadow standing in the middle of the path. After a short talk, Amy drove the rest of the way to White Park.[4]
Trial by Fire[]
After arranging a camping trip with Tangle, Jewel, and Belle, Amy used the Pink Cabriolet to pick up some camping gear from Tails in Central City, before picking up the other girls with said vehicle and taking them to the Forest Ridge Zone Campground in it.[5]
Trivia[]
- It is one of only a few vehicles in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with doors on it.
- In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the Pink Cabriolet is similar to the Breeze, as the headlights have the qualities of real eyes, and the wheels face downwards when in plane mode.
- In Team Sonic Racing, several of the Pink Cabriolet's Performance Parts reference Amy's nickname of "Rosy the Rascal" from Sonic the Fighters and her last name, "Rose", namely the Rascal Cage for the Rear and the Rosy Rims for the Wheels. Furthermore, other parts like the Piko Bar reference her weapon the Piko Piko Hammer.
