Picky Sonic X

A lone Picky.

The Picky (ピッキー Pikkī?) is a creature that appears in the Sonic X anime series and its comic series published by Archie Comics which first debuted in "Defective Detectives". They are a race of non-anthropomorphic pigs native to Sonic the Hedgehog's world.

The general Picky resembles a small rotund domestic pig. However, they are remarkably humanoid in anatomy, even standing on two legs. They have light pink skin and possess large round heads with two large grey eyes (blue in the comics), triangular ears, and small stubby snouts. Other features include relatively small torsos, thin and short arms with five fingers, stubby legs with long feet and two cloven for toes, and a short coiled tail each.

Although recognized as animal life, the Pickies are remarkably intelligent and sociable, having been shown to live in civilized environments and reside in their own houses.[1]

As a result of the effects of Chaos Control, several Pickies and other creatures got sent to Earth, raising worries about whether they would be able to coexist with humanity.[1] Eventually though, they got sent back to their home world.[2]

A number of virtual Pickies appeared in a simulation Dr. Eggman trapped Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies in. These Pickies would appear whenever Sonic and his friends freed them from badniks or capsule prisons.[3][4]
