The Picky is a creature that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a race of diminutive pig Mobinis inhabiting Sonic's World. The Pickies are constantly captured by Dr. Eggman who uses them as batteries for his various Badniks.

Description

Anatomy

The general Picky resembles a small rotund domestic pig. However, they are remarkably humanoid in anatomy, even standing on two legs. They have light pink skin and possess large round heads with two large black eyes, triangular ears, and small stubby snouts. Other features include relatively small torsos, thin and short arms with fingers, stubby legs with long feet and two cloven for toes, and a short coiled tail each.

History

Hunted and freed

Following Dr. Eggman's uprising, the Pickies have perpetually been kidnapped by the Eggman Empire to be used as power sources for the Badnik Horde employed by Eggman and his various Egg Army factions. Over the course of time, the Freedom Fighters and other parties have freed countless Pickies from their robot shells during their battles with Badniks.

Shattered World Crisis

Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where the Pickies original timeline ended.

When the Shattered World Crisis began, the Pickies were amongst many of the animals caught up in crumbling landmasses caused by the planetary break-up.

Trivia

• The Pickies are based on the species of the same name that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
