The photo piece[1] (フォトピース[2] foto pīsu?) is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are puzzle pieces that can be collected across different Zones.

Overview[]
In Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, photo pieces can be found throughout the game, usually in secret or hard to reach places. Photo pieces can collected just by touching them, like Rings. When collected, a photo piece is sent to the puzzle pool in the Puzzle Room when the player clears an act. Each photo piece represents a piece of an image that must be assembled in the Puzzle Room. By finishing three puzzles (48 photo pieces) the Sound Test is unlocked, and completing all six puzzles (96 photo pieces) unlocks a special stage option where the Special Stages can be played in order.
