Perfect Chaos' attack[1] is an event that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a major disaster on Sonic's World where Station Square was attacked by the water god Perfect Chaos. The whole city was flooded, and an overwhelming amount of property damage was caused.
History[]
Perfect Chaos' rampage[]
The attack occurred at some point before the beginning of the Shattered World Crisis and lasted for a single day. Thought to have been destroyed once and for all aboard the Egg Carrier, Chaos was able to retrieve six of the seven Chaos Emeralds, before recovering the seventh gem from the crashed Tornado 2. The beast used the Emeralds' power to become Perfect Chaos, before dowsing the city in a fierce flood, all before Sonic arrived on the scene. After Dr. Eggman's failed attempt to bring down the monster in a second Egg Carrier, Tikal appeared, explaining that Chaos was still enraged because of the actions of her people all of those years ago. Just after, Perfect Chaos released the seemingly drained Chaos Emeralds. Learning that Chaos only used the Emeralds' negative power, Sonic harnessed their positive power to transform into Super Sonic. After a fierce battle, Super Sonic was able to neutralize Chaos, returning it to its base form. Now happy again, Chaos returned with Tikal and the Chao it protected long ago to the Master Emerald.[1][2]
Aftermath[]
Station Square was greatly damaged by Perfect Chaos' destruction, and it took the city a considerable amount of time to rebuild.[1]
In a possible event of the Time Eater incident, Sonic returned to the timeframe during Perfect Chaos' attack, where he engaged against the massive beast in the flooded Station Square. Despite the odds, the hedgehog defeated the monster and got a Chaos Emerald.[3]
Station Square had only just returned to normality when the Shattered World Crisis struck, plunging the unfortunate city into a state of carnage once more. When the Freedom Fighters arrived in the city to rescue civilians, some of them were disorientated by their conflicting memories, as a side-effect of the Super Genesis Wave, concerning Chaos' attack. In particular, Antoine D'Coolette and Bunnie D'Coolette had recalled being in the city helping out in the rescue efforts at the time, when in reality they were not present during the attack at all.[1]
Trivia[]
- The attack is based on the final story of the video game Sonic Adventure.
