Drops three Mines further up the track in lanes not occupied by the player. Any players that hit the mines take damage.

— Description, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

The Panda Mine-ium is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Trap Item used primarily to obstruct opposing rivals' path.

Description[]

The Panda Mine-iums take the form of grey iron balls with black spikes, both as an icon and on the tracks.

Overview[]

In gameplay, the Panda Mine-ium can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Panda Amy. As with most other Items, Metal Sonic can also use the Panda Mine-ium if he uses the Steal Item to steal it from the aforementioned user.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Panda Mine-ium by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Panda Mine-ium will drop its iron balls some distance ahead of the user's current location on all the lanes that the user is not currently on. If a character, including the user themselves, touches one of these iron balls, they will burst into a barrage of leaves and damage the character, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily. To avoid the Panda Mine-ium, the playable character must either jump over its iron balls or run in-between them.

The Panda Mine-ium can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 4, 10 and 16 respectively. For each upgrade, the player will increase the damage dealt with the Panda Mine-ium.

Trivia[]

  • The Panda Mine-ium is a play on the word "pandemonium" and is also in reference to it sounding similar to "panda".
