Palm OS, also known as Garnet OS, is a discontinued mobile operating system initially developed by Palm, Inc. in 1996. It was created for personal digital assistants and was designed for ease of use with a touchscreen-based graphical user interface. Only one Sonic the Hedgehog game was released for this operating system and it was a port of the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Trivia
- In Sonic Heroes in the opening scene of Team Rose's story, Amy is seen with a newspaper clipping showing a photograph of Sonic carrying Chocola and Froggy. The article on the newspaper appears to be an advertisement for a Palm OS port of the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog.
