Ozzy is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film. He is the pet golden retriever dog of Tom and Maddie Wachowski, whom the former claims to be his best animal friend.

History

While on their way to San Francisco, Sonic attempts to befriend Tom by proclaiming himself a magnet for danger for Tom. When Tom replies that he likes him yet they are not best friends, Sonic then suggests that he's Tom's "best animal friend". Tom corrects him by saying that Ozzy is, much to Sonic's annoyance.

Sonic later encounters Ozzy face-to-face when visiting Rachel's home in San Francisco, Sonic comments that he doesn't see the appeal of such non-anthropomorphic animal and admits it's both gross and affectionate when Ozzy licks him.
