Outfits,[1] also known as Skins,[2] are objects that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They consist of optional clothing that the characters can wear.
Outfits, as their name implies, consist of attires that can be equipped to the playable characters during gameplay, thereby changing the appearance of the character's game model. Each Outfit is unique and often designed to fit the character's style.
So far, Outfits have been entirely optional extra features in the games and can only be unlocked after clearing certain requirements or via external downloads. Outfits normally only offer aesthetic changes, although there have been cases where they affect the characters' move set.
