Orlando Drummond Cardoso was a famous Brazilian actor, voice actor, and comedian, who did voice work for the Brazilian Portuguese dub of the Sonic the Hedgehog[2] television series and the Sonic Underground television series.[3]
History[]
Drummond was perhaps best known for his works as Seu Peru in the series Escolinha do Professor Raimundo and also as the voice of Scooby-Doo, ALF, and Popeye.
Drummond passed away at the age of 101 due to multiple organ failure in Rio de Janeiro on 27 July 2021.[4][5] Months earlier, in May 2021, Drummond had been hospitalized in serious condition due to a urinary tract infection.[6] He had been discharged in June 2021, one month before his death.[7]
