The Optic Image Refractor is a object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.
Description[]
The Optic Image Refractor are a pair of refractors that were present in the eyepieces of the Sonic suit. They made it so that anyone the wearer saw through the Optic Image Refractor would seem to be Snively Robotnik.
History[]
Created by Dr. Robotnik and given to Drago Wolf, Drago then used the Optic Image Refractor in a Sonic suit, and made Hershey, his girlfriend at the time, wear it. While wearing it, Hershey, now perceieving anyone she saw as Snively, cut the rope of Princess Sally, who was climbing one of the building of Robotropolis, leading to her falling into a coma upon colliding with the ground. After the incident, Drago would reveal his plot and the mechanisms of her suit to her, including the functions of the Optic Image Refractor, causing great distress to Hershey, who thought she was fighting Snively rather than Sally.[1][2]
