The Octus is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a octopus-based Badnik variant created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

Based on an octopus, the Octus have a round head with large eyes and a large snout. Below their head they have a grey and black disk with six ten mechanical tentacles attached, each with a suction cup. Their coloration varies though.

Stationed in the Oil Ocean Zone, a pair of Octus tried taking down Sonic when he attacked a pollution machine, but got easily destroyed.[1] More Octus would also ravage the Casino Night Zone until Tails and his allies stopped them.[2]

Years later, Octus were sent for a surprise attack on the Freedom Fighters alongside other Badniks under the orders from Agent X. There, two modified Octus grabbed Amy and Tekno.[3]

Powers and abilities

The Octus are capable of flight and can shoot energy blasts from their mouth.[1] Later models were equipped with extendable limbs.[3]
