The Northamer Egg Army is a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an Egg Army division stationed in Northamer, whose primary objective is to conquer the region for Dr. Eggman. It is led by the Egg Boss sisters Clove the Pronghorn and Cassia the Pronghorn, although Cassia does not hold the same level of authority as Clove.[1]

History[]

Shattered World Crisis[]

Act One[]

The Northamer Egg Army's leaders were assigned to excavate a Chaos Emerald that had ended up in Crystal Cave. However, they ran into difficulties and were forced to halt operations while awaiting new mining equipment. As such, their operation was left vulnerable to the Freedom Fighters, who hacked their security and managed to secure the gem (secretly preventing further destruction of the beautiful cave).[2][3][4] This fact was later reported to Dr. Eggman by Cassia and Clove, who were then reassigned to another area.[5] They also found themselves at odds for the local Gaia Temple with the Wolf Pack. Unknown to them, it was a faux Gaia Temple and the Wolf Pack pretended that it was of importance.[6]

Act Two[]

The Northamer Egg Army left a Badnik Horde on patrol but they suddenly wandered off to the Thunder Plains Zone. Unknown to them, the Freedom Fighters and the Wolf Pack were acting as opposition and completely destroyed the horde.[6] They then found that their security field had glitched out for a few seconds, prompting Clove to see what it might have been. She orders a few Egg Soldiers to be on standby just in case. Cassia found an unchecked energy signal in the area and went off to see what it was. It turned out to be a Chaos Emerald but she found herself fighting for it against Bunnie D'Coolette.[7]

Meanwhile, Clove found Sally Acorn lurking around and requested her not to fight for the temple as she did not want her people hurt. Cassia was able to snatch the emerald from Bunnie after she tricked her into getting cornered by two other Egg Soldiers.[8] However Bunnie fought to the very end and triumphantly took the emerald. An Egg Soldier was about to shoot her but Cassia did not allow it as she could see how badly Bunnie needed it. Due to the her leg injury and her internal illness Cassia collapsed, having to be carried back by a distraught Clove and an Egg Soldier. Clove later found out that Cassia's cybernetics were not helping her get better and they were truly stuck working for Dr. Eggman.[9]

Clove was soon called for a priority one mission in Eggman Land and when she returned she found that the rest of the Egg Army had made a welcome back party just for her as she had done so much for them.[10] Later on, Clove and Cassia witnessed the actual Gaia Temple rise out of the ground, realizing they were stationed in a faux temple.[11]

Uniform[]

The Northamer Egg Army soldiers' uniforms resemble their Egg Boss Clove in appearance. The soldiers wear gray Eggman Empire-inspired uniforms and green helmets with visors and black horns'-like appendices (which vary to several horns shapes) on the top.
