Season one[]
When Sonic first arrives in No Place, Batten Rouge, Black Rose and Sails Tails at first think that he is a threat, but then agree to take him to their ship, called the Angel's Voyage, where he meets Catfish and the captain, Knuckles the Dread. Once at the ship, the entire crew throws a party to welcome Sonic. Batten tries to tell Sonic Dread's story, but the captain stopped her. After a few more parties, Sonic realizes that Dread is a coward, specially after his former crew appears to attack, and Dread hides. Sonic defeats the evil pirates, and the Angel's Voyage crew celebrates and shout out for Sonic. They then make him their new captain, though he was reluctant at first.
Then, Rusty Rose, along with the Eggforcers, appears (using the power of the red Prism Shard) and attacks. Then, Sonic takes the role of the captain to attack back, but Rusty manages to damage the Angels' Voyage and leave to find the blue Prism Shard. Dread then tells Sonic the story of his former crew, and how he destroyed their ship in attempt to retrieve the "Devil's Lighthouse" and ended up abandoned. Sonic realizes that the Devil's Lighthouse is actually the blue Prism Shard, and encourages Dread into making the right thing, so Dread gains back his role of the captain and the crew works to fix the ship.
They manage to reach Rusty and fight, while Dread goes to the Prism Shard. Sonic and the crew destroys the robot and tie up Rusty. The crew are then left to watch over her as Sonic leaves to help Dread. When saving Dread from failing, the shard touches Sonic's nose and he is send back to the Void.

They eventually team up again to fight the Council. The team even goes underwater, where Sonic sees Green Hill once again. In the end, the other doctors arrive in the flying fortress, and are able to steal the Shard. Sonic and Dread get on the ship and leave No Place. Sonic and Nine returned with the case containing the shards and since Sonic can't hit top speed on the water, he decided to get help from Batten who accepted. As Don't and Babble's ship were shoot by fireworks. Sonic and Nine were able to escape.
Season three[]

When Sonic realized that a couple more pirates were still behind in No Place, he along with the three Amy Roses planned a rescue mission. When they got to No Place, they saw the sinking Angel's Voyage and fought off some Grim Birdies. As they were able to get the pirates inside the Kraken and tried to escape, more Grim Birds showed up but so did Deep and Done-it in the Yolkomotive.
