Nikki is a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She was a mobian lynx who was the daughter of Dr. Ellidy. She died years ago by unknown means.
Nikki was a mobian lynx who seems to share her father's fur color, and like him had a triangular marking on her face that ran from the tip of her nose up between her eyelids. She had blue eyes and wore glasses, and apparently favored an outfit with a blue decoration on the collar resembling a flower.
Life and passing
Nikki was once the daughter of Dr. Ellidy. Together, she and her father shared many experiences, including Emerald Coast for their vacation, and visited a Chao Garden. She also won first prize at the Empire City Science Fair. After learning of her father's work on the Mobotropolis Grand Archive, which was designed as a government program, Nikki suggested making it available to the public. However, she subsequently fell victim to a debilitating condition and eventually passed away.
In an attempt to save his daughter's life, Ellidy tried using the Digitizer when Professor Charles the Hedgehog failed to complete his Roboticizer in time. He did so by mapping Nikki's neural pathways into the computer, to later attempt more complex copying. However, this attempt failed and instead contributed to Nicole's development, leaving Ellidy bitter and harboring negative feelings towards his creation. After her death, Dr. Ellidy created a memorial in honor of her at Isolated Island.
Years later, Dr. Ellidy would reveal Nikki to both Sally Acorn and Nicole. Ellidy would later lament that Nikki and Sally had never met while Nicole would recognize the loss of the young Lynx as contributing to her own development into a feeling being.
Nikki appears to have been a happy child who seemingly shared some of her father's aptitude for science.
- Nikki may be an allusion to an abandoned concept from the Sonic the Hedgehog television series, where Nicole was actually a living being who was transformed into the computer by Dr. Robotnik.
